Not to be a contrarian, but do we really think that a military victory in Syria will put an end to jihadism?
There was a dude on WGN (Chicago) this morning--their terrorism correspondent--and he openly sighed when asked about all the military options, saying that this is never going to end until we get rid of the discrimination and double-standards that cause Muslims to think they are under attack/oppressed by the West.
How in the hell you do that, nobody seems to have an answer for that. Any suggestions here?
