tehehe - I just wanted to point out that, when we're talking "Republicans" and "Democrats", it's not really fair to say, "Well, they did this." At this point, BOTH sides have done the same things, in different situations. The Dems blasted Bush for the same things that Obama is doing, and now they're being quiet. AND, the Reps blasted Obama for doing the same things that Bush did, and they were quiet.

This circles back around to what Ben was talking about previously. I think there was a time in the past where members of Congress championed their institution and defended it from executive overreach whereas now there is more loyalty to your party than to your institution. It's a bit of a phenomenon considering that political parties are much weaker today then they were decades ago.
