i know as much about bitcoin and it's intentions as you do dharma. i've followed it since it was first announced, many moons ago. please don't pontificate to me like i'm a peasant.

The article said the solution was to make bitcoins subject to central banking. lol c'mon, that's obviously uninformed because it's impossible.

His basic argument is that it can't be useful as a currency because it goes up in value too fast, so he think manipulating the value will help.

That's same kind of helicopter mom nonsense that has ruined everything about America, and the resulting economic effects of that are exactly why the idea of a decentralized currency is so interesting to everyone.

Also, Dharma, I don't really get how you can call BitCoin revolutionary, then directly compare it to gold. There is really nothing revolutionary about value stores. That it uses new technology is cool, but there is really nothing about these currencies that impresses me, or will enable me to do business better.
