I want to reiterate: is there a period in western history that was less rapey than today? I don't think so, which would suggest that there has not been a rise of rape culture in recent history.

btw....I feel I need to say this.
generally, speaking in most criminal cases the victims are rarely 100% innocent. they're often in the game as well so to speak.

Saying we live in a Rape Culture because there's still rape, is like saying we live in racist culture just because there are still some bigots out there though not as many as there were 100 years ago. That's the thing with talking about rape culture. Rape by any metric you want to use, is going down. way down. By definition you can't define our culture as a rape culture if the amount of rape is not as prevalent as it used to be.
