Voting is a waste of time. Stop doing it. You are just lending a veneer of legitimacy to a fundamentally corrupt institution.

See my previous point Prof. While both parties pander to certain groups the GOP has an insane segment of their caucus which threatens to overpower the party establishment and thus the GOP is scarier. Dems either crush or coopt their radical elements.

To answer Prof's question I would cast my vote pretty evenly over the years but once Bush showed up and then the teabillies I really don't even consider that candidate, if they're like either one of them.
Locally it's almost a 180, as in Chicago the Big Corrupt Dem Machine runs everything so I vote for Republicans on everything or indies. For state, indie, green or Dem. Libertarian would be fine too.
