One major reason is capitalism itself. Its sole purpose is to generate profit/ wealth, but its blind on how that profit/wealth is distributed. That is why I said earlier we celebrate gluttony/greed, because we do. Proof of that is on average a CEO will make from 500-1000% or more in compensation as the average floor worker. And nothing in the cards to change any of that. Even some CEOs that have been bailed out still receive absurd wages. So in a way its all part of the success of the capitalistic system we created ourselves to promote our gluttony/greed. The failure of systems like communism or socialism is more of a human failure, rather then a system failure, do to the same thing ,gluttony/greed. How much is enough? We really don't like to ask ourselves that.

And not for nothing but Common Core isn't helping either. I looked at one of my little cousin's regular ass division problems in Common Core and it questioned everything I ever knew about math lol. If your child can't divide 199 / 4 rewording the problem isn't going to make the child smarter

Of course inequality is going up. And you know who get's f**k? It's not the poor, it's the young. I know plenty of idiot boomers who don't make much money but somehow have a pension and their house has gone up 10x in value. They may make shit but they have wealth.

Young people? I know tons of young people making great money who can't and won't be able to afford a house anytime soon. The good paying jobs are in high cost housing markets and even on six figures good luck ever buying property near NYC or SF or everywhere else 6 figure jobs are. Everyone in low cost housing markets cannot get a job at all. None of us will ever get a pension, and even if we do save the market won't give us the same returns our parents got.

It's a generational issue, as I have always said. Boomers are leeching this country dry and a symptom of that the fact that just about every young person has absolutely no wealth, while boomer morons will complain they make no money and ignore their home equity (which they will reverse mortgage shortly) or pension/social security.

No, it's anybody who's middle to lower-class, young or not.

It's not simply Booomers who are leeching the country dry, it's the 10% who are vacuuming up all the wealth and investing it nowhere except when investing it in buying gov't policies that insure that middle class security becomes a thing of the past.

And if it's a matter of young people being screwed, then start calling leaders out on this issue and get out to the voting booth instead of playing fantasy football and surfing Buzzfeed while watching the Kardashians on TV.
