Here's the biggest irony which I tried to point out: we won't spend money on our infrastructure/health care/etc. but in Afghanistan and Iraq we sent billions to... build infrastructure/health care and... irony!... a strong central gov't. So when we're unleashing our freedom on liberated nations we believe a strong central gov't is absolutely necessary, except here at home where it is of course the enemy.
I remember posting a story about how we spent like $10MM to build a nice park in Baghdad (not to mention our $500 million dollar embassy).
And yet it just goes right over people's heads.
BTW in both instances it was a fail because obviously there was no accounting for any of that money or where it went--all supported by the people now who are deficit hawks allegedly who want to crack open America's books for an audit.
WTF.
