It's silly to argue there's something inherently wrong with the Koran IMO. The problem is with certain interpretations of it.
Jews and Christians have interpreted away all the bad parts of our holy books. Muslims need to get around to that as well.

Gotta admit, you've lost me. There is nothing inherently wrong with a reprehensible text filled with evil and violence? And therefore they need to do away with the bad not-bad aspects of it?
