i'm no cruz fan. in fact, i said in the past he was the worst. the worst because he would rather everyone lose than just him lose. but watching these debates he seems reasoned and articulate next to the bombastic trump who "wins" these "debates" by disrupting them.
i was no real romney fan either but the man is clear headed and could do the job. the same cannot be said for many others in this race. rubio has clear questions about if he is ready for it. cruz is far too hardline for the executive position -- again, in a robe (i know you'd hate it indy) he can be as hardline to principle as he wants but in an elected position he has to compromise. trump is out of control. everything that romney and mccain said the other day about him: true. the man is a menace, and is sadly a reflection of a large swath of america. clinton is devious and a meglomaniac and believes she is owed the presidency and therefore is unfit for it entirely. i like kaisch, of all the candidates, the best. he has a proven track record, he's been executive before and in the rust belt -- a place where trump gets much of his support, poor white america (which bernie dismisses as being non-existent). he's a leader, he's got conservative values, and he's willing to work out deals. but i'd also be happy if romney or rubio came out of the convention, too -- none of them will f**k the country sideways.
Americans learn only from catastrophe and not from experience. -- Theodore Roosevelt
My life has become a single, ongoing revelation that I haven’t been cynical enough.
