The thing I'm enjoying the most is people like Ted Cruz echoing the obvious talking point that net neutrality is the "Obamacare" of the Internet, showing that either a) he is that fricking stupid, b) his followers are, where all you have to do is pull out the O-word and they go insane or c) he is that much of a bald-faced, cynical liar.
Probably a mixture of all three.
That said, Obama since he came along has a record talking the talk but then standing back and doing nothing when the inevitable happens as industry plants pass their pro-industry agenda, like with Wall St. In this case as somebody pointed out the FCC chair is a telecom crony--so what do you think is going to happen?
In order for net neutrality to remain, gov't would have to step in and legislate what industry can and can't do. Seeing that industry runs/owns the gov't, that's not going to happen. Net neutrality is going to fail.
