I personally find interracial marriages to be abhorent, and even though the Bible doesn't specifically address it, I believe that my faith is opposed to blacks marrying whites. Therefore I reserve the right to deny baking a cake for an interracial marriage.

Very true. White people not wanting blacks in their restaurant wasn't racist. It was merely an objection to the act of black people eating with white people, not any sort of prejudice against blacks. After all, they could eat in a black restaurant, just like these gays can find another baker.

jim crow wasn't about being black either it was a whole host of things like not being able to read, not passing an "IQ test" and all sorts of other things that were obviously meant to disenfranchise black southerners. it's pretty silly to deny the intention of these actions is to discriminate on a set of people. using an activity that that group solely participates in is just a smokescreen and there is precedent for the US slapping that kind of nonsense down as the bigotry that it is.
