HFT makes the stock market efficient by smoothing out the derivatives market. If HFT's are working properly, the only legitimate way to make money through stock is to buy and hold.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
