Sadly, it is situations like this, where the cop just gets suspended after pulling his gun in the middle of a bunch of rowdy, but non-threatening kids that were dispersing, that is going to cause more violence. If this clear of a violation doesn't get you off the police force, it will leave residents to their own means to ensure cops like this are not on the police force. That's not a good place to be.

This police officer clearly doesn't have the temperament to have authority, a deadly weapon, and a mandate to use both. His job was to go and get the kids to leave. They ran away. Job complete, go back to doing something more meaningful. Instead, he wants to make sure that everyone around him bows to his own sense of authority. Enforcing his will on these kids was more important to him than keeping the peace. Another giant red flag that this guy shouldn't be wearing any kind of uniform that doesn't have a golden M on it.
