Casualties of the Tokyo bombing have probably always been underestimated by both sides, for obvious reasons.

In terms of WW2 strategic bombing, those two cities were just another blip, really. Dead by nuke or by conventional weapon...still dead.

Most people do remember Dresden, Rotterdam, Chongqing, Tokyo, Berlin, Hamburg, Porzheim etc, however. Or London, for that matter...
