local people are looting, but the actual destruction of property ballooned fast. I cannot believe people would destroy their own neighborhood like that. Yes, many have had it, but massive protests that shut down everything is very different from massive riots that destroy everything
Everyone is pointing fingers at others. I saw a lot of black 'white supremacists' out there looting, from listening to my liberal friends.
Sure the mayor walked it back now, but there is still an outside influence from people not from the area who were destroying it
Order is tentatively restored. I hope it can be made safe for massive demonstrations to continue even for an indefinite amount of time, but I cannot abide rioting
The police unions need to be disbanded, and significant reforms need to be made regarding complaints. Something like 3k complaints and dozen or so actions taken on those complaints is not acceptable
