The vaccines are proving very effective even with Delta variant. Absent some long-term complication that we aren't yet aware of, I would say that the case for getting vaccinated is open and shut.

Longer we take to reach herd immunity the longer these strains have a chance to do exactly that.

Well, you're gonna need alot of people to catch the virus then, because it looks like the only way US will get even close to herd immunity is with natural infections + vaccinations.

going to have to charge absurd healthcare premiums to those who do not get vaccinated in order to compel them, together with businesses requiring it for employment. this week should change the dynamic -- the last major block for companies requiring the shot is going to go away with the full FDA approval expected monday

You really really have to ask yourself - why aren't the mainstream media groups and local news affiliates constantly airing news and video of our ICUs? I get patient private privilege so blur it all out. But people need to see. Everybody needs to see every day how many people die because of this - not just the covid deniers but the people that are suffering and dying because their heart attack couldn't be addressed in time because the ICU was full and so they had to be redirected to another hospital 30 minutes away. Or the car accident victim who could've been saved, or saved a limb, or any other thing but couldn't....because Karen decided she'd rather believe the tiktok account that told her all about the neurological side effects of the vaccines.

So many more people have died because care was deferred due to this negligence. It's one of the reason why researchers say the number dead due to covid is actually higher than we know...and why we may actually never know how many people died as a result of this pandemic.
