No president ever wins without the minority vote, and polls show 3/4s Hispanics don't like him, which goes to show you he has already lost one demographic who apparently is showing up in record turnouts to vote.

I'm on my phone but I just read an article that actually played a decent card about how if Rubio wins his home state and if Kasich wins his own, then Rubio and Kasich should pair up for the brokered convention to win. That would give the GOP two states desperately needed for the general election.

lets put it another way

the reason people say you need x minority vote is because they are important in some select states.

the places with where whites do not make a flat out majority (although, all but HI, DC, and NM they are plurality)

NM
TX
AZ

everywhere else white is flat out majority but some of these have sizable minority contingents, which, if they vote totally in lockstep with one another, can have a large influence

but what if none of that even matters

what if what matters is WI, MI, MN, IL, IN, OH, and PA? upper midwest is almost uniformly white aside from some sizable amounts of minorities in IL, and it has a lot of people who are disaffected and angry. lots of poor white folks, mythological creatures to bernie sanders, and ignored people to both the GOP and the Dems. i can easily see it going trump in the general. then who cares if the left coast does what it always does? Yeah there's a lot of hispanics in CA... doesn't matter



this wins. it's dismissed because the poor whites in places like michigan are dismissed or thought to be squarely in the democrats corner for ?????????????? reasons.

with trump, they aren't.

in dearborn michigan, home to the nation's largest muslim population (45%), trump, who has floated an idea of a ban on muslim entry, got 39% of the vote, sanders, a jew, got 59% (but only one challenger). economics was more important, it seems, and the people want that protectionism

How are the cities run mostly by minorities doing? The two main reasons they fear trump is his money prevents their manipulation of him, he seems to have a plan, and that just confuses/scares them.
