I used to like to think of libertarianism as a third path that allowed for social liberalism but fiscal and governmental conservatism.
Then I discovered that it has tragically become infested with creepy anarchists and hardline elements that want to take us back into prehistory, from a societal development perspective.
Its another one of those things that sounds great on paper. Sometimes.
Plus I've been dissapointed to discover that such a huge part of those who misidentify themselves as libertarians are actually social conservatives.
