Negotiation is not a skill people are comfortable using.
I figure it's because we no longer barter day to day. People go to the store and pay the price, no questions asked. They get used to it and figure that it is tacky to barter.

boys are f**k stupid at younger ages because they're allowed to be f**k stupid under the "boys will be boys" rule.
boys who get their shit pushed in by authority figures when they act up are just as competent as girls their age as far as intelligence, both academic and emotional. brain structure and genetics, outside of huge deformities, are not as a all-encompassing as we make them out to be. nurture is a much stronger indicator of the development of a person. it's why socio-economic standing is a huge determining factor in aggregate of the outcome of an individual.
