It's not that people have a problem with guns, it's that the prevalence of weapons kills thousands of people for NO appreciable social benefit. You aren't fighting off the government or the Chinese with your flock. You aren't protecting your family given statistically you are more likely to shoot them than defend them, and I'm sorry but as fun as it is to shoot stuff, recreation and tradition to not justify the needless deaths of thousands of Americans ever year.

This isn't due process or voting. Rights, which has a huge positive benefit to society. This isn't a car or unhealthy food, both of which have obvious and apparent utility. This is a tool only used for killing shit, and threatening to kill shit. It's not that useful or necessary in a modern society if you are an urban civilian. Period.
