drunk drivers should be arrested, including those passed out in their car. if they aren't actually driving though and it can not be shown that they drove anywhere drunk, it should just be to put them in the tank for the night, not actually do anything other than that; I know someone who was arrested because he went out on a date where she drove, he got drunk, she told him no, so he slept in his car that he parked at her apartment. someone else called the cops. it was like -10 out so he left it running and slept in the backseat. this was the responsible thing for a person to do and he was punished for it. if they are actually driving drunk there should be more severe consequences

i think he fires at the officer in the video? if so he actually has become less of a threat once it was fired, as tasers have one shot. it certainly wasn't murder though, and i don't think it would be reasonable to say it was even manslaughter. however, i'm not sure it was the appropriate course of action, because, like i said, his threat actually diminishes once he fires the thing and misses

Agreed. I am curious to see if the cops are charged or not. It would be a gross miscarriage of justice if they are.

Incidentally, if cops decide to enforce the law less enthusiastically because they know they could be villainized for doing their job, guess who will suffer the most?
