How I see it depends how people buy into the deal. I dont see any grumblings about the constitution, or democracy as practiced in the US. In fact I would say most Americans a heavily invested in the Constitution, and believe in what it represents. It will take a major erosion of that position before serious numbers of the population turn to other means to achieve their needs
