All these ideas are never going to work- either open the floodgates and allow any kind of campaign donations or cut it off entirely- no private spending on political campaigns and allow every candidate a set block when it comes to advertising- that way its fair across the board.

If the argument is that political contributions are a form of speech, I don't see how requiring anonymity would be acceptable. It's like saying you are free to write anything you won't into a book but you can't put your name on it. If you have to speak anonymously then it really isn't free.

Bribery is business as usual, only its called lobby when money and gifts are used. Money and gifts to a lobbyist, are like guns to Wyatt Earp.
