Comrade doesn't have a suggestion for Afghanistan. He is referring to a suggestion that I made to get some lulz. Essentially I argued that going into Afghanistan was the worst thing we could have done, and we should have bombed them until they handed over those responsible for 9/11. No occupation, no involvement in setting up alliances meant to counter the Taliban, no boots on the ground - a good ol' bombing campaign to force the Afghans to take care of the problem themselves or face destruction. Either that or just close the borders and negotiate with the Taliban.
Eventually we both refused to budge and gave up the argument. But why pass up the opportunity to beat a dead horse?
