It's not a necessity my ass. I run an internet development company. if this passes work will slow down probably 25-30% which means a loss of revenue, we do a lot of uploading of huge files, 1-2-10GB files, on an avg day I probably visit 500 sites.

If this passes I'm literally moving to Canada. f**k it.

If they start to seriously slow down the internet for use of certain sites, etc, I'm gone. My business is 100% virtual I can move to Japan tomorrow if I wanted.

Even my leisure, i stream horse racing online pretty much all day long on my PC screen while I'm working. It would effect me a lot.

Thus the electricity analogy fails. The electric provider is just keeping track of how many kilowatt hours you're clocking. Whether you're using them for a big screen tv, refrigerator or just lights they don't know and don't care.

if the ISP was held responsible for illicit downloading then i think they could charge whatever for it and limit people to whatever sites. of course, they're not

like i said, i feel like the problem was invented by someone who was against it. a what if scenario that then comes to fruition by our collective thinking of it. i also said im not against net neutrality, so fine, enshirne it in law. but don't make it a 1000 page document, just make it a few paragraphs
