Those who truly want an education will make their own opportunity. Those who just want to be street thugs won't. And most will blame everyone but themselves. The victim card.

Yes, some people can claw out of horrible circumstances. It is possible. But the mere possibility for a select few does not mean we shouldn't take steps to equal the playing field a little bit IMO. It's also economically advantageous for the nation as a whole.

There are already scholarships, grants and loans to pretty much get anyone into college that wants to go. This is one of those things that sounds good to the low information voters but in reality is meaningless.

You can't legislate good decisions. Even if college was completely paid for by seizing money from the high wager earners, like the President and you money grabbing liberals want... You would still have people who don't graduate from college. You'd still have people who don't graduate from high school. High school is free, why do so many people not graduate?
