This is pretty openly a proxy war between the Saudis and Iranians. The GOP Senate shenangins prove just how weird it's getting. The Iranians are clearly winning however, the way things are going you're going to have Iranian friendly governments in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon in about a year or two. A major shift in regional power.
