i'm just trying to point out that the idea that canada is chipping in "more" than their fair share apparently comes from misinformation, which i was more than happy to correct, unless you think that 2% of troops deployed to an area is somehow "a lot". i mean i would call that "a token show of solidarity"

158 total dead
so averaged out per year that's 0.6%
and that's of the 2% they contributed, 0.6% lost their lives
although yes, you are right partially... for example, while france provided more of everything, less of their soldiers managed to get killed than canadians. still, i do not think canadians paid an excessive burden
