Although in a situation where for instance, a teenager is gang-raped by the town football stars who videotape it and share it, and the town rallies behind... the men... that's a tough sell to say that's not ok, a "rape-y" culture? And what kind of culture did those goons grow up in where not only would they do it, but they'd videotape and share it?
HOPEFULLY that's not a national trend.
How about sex-shaming? Because that kind of fits if you think about it: saying women are sluts for having pre-martial sex or using birth control, whereas with men it's a badge of honor. Or intimating that women who were actually raped somehow brought it upon themselves. I said ACTUALLY. Did everybody get that? ACTUALLY.
POINT TAKEN: "rape culture" is a bad term, because it's either two strong, too general or apparently has some out-there feminist definition of which I'm unaware.
