I can't imagine insurance companies spending thousands of man-hours to re-enroll people on policies that they just disenrolled them from, knowing that they will simply be spending thousands more man-hours disenrolling them again in 12 months.

As if it couldn't become any more clear (unintentionally) as this fiasco unfolds--having these insurance companies just f***s everything up. Get rid of the damn middleman already.

If I'm not mistaken in some single-payer countries you CAN buy private insurance to cover things that the regular gov't insurance doesn't cover so if you want that Cadillac you can have it.

Why are we not doing that?
