I gotta say I have to agree with not wanting the government to run things. I don't want them running much because they cannot run anything well, from Cash to Clunkers to them not being able to account for $8.5 trillions in funds over the past decade.
What does our government actually run well? Everything is either extremely over budget or a money sink and none of it is managed properly.
Can you name me something our government runs that it does well? Anything?

what does the federal government actually have direct oversight over besides the military, NASA, and itself?
i guess the IRS is run pretty well. as is the treasury and the fed. NASA is pretty great, and as much as i hate how much we dump into the military, it's a pretty efficient machine (if you think that money was simply lost you're fooling yourself).

everything has problems. corporations have problems too. that's why so many get bought out, go bankrupt, and fail. or are just generally run like shit.
