i think you mean cop killers and killer cops, saz?

perhaps there should be some sort of independent prosecutor's office at a state/multi-state/maybe federal level that is charged solely with charging officials with high crimes. and they aren't given free reign as it needs to be meet criteria. it can't be like the independent counsel laws of past where they ran amok, looking for dirt. they have to be going off of something. and then you can say that all fatalities involving police officers go through them, and they are either exonerated by the people or convicted, but they will be indicted, at least on manslaughter, and can explain why they are justified in their defense. cops might hate it but bad cops should be held accountable. they certainly can be cleared and back on duty and all that if it was justifiable.
