Try that Dylangraph again with the personal insults. As I said, I'm interested in a dialogue, not an exchange of nasty comments.

What exactly is the strategic advantage to letting these guys come and go as they please and then occasionally arresting them on the road? It would make sense if they were occupying a densely populated area where innocent bystanders could be endangered, but they were already in the middle of nowhere. When they went to leave they should have been arrested on the spot.

It was a justified shooting assuming these guys drew their weapons and pointed them at police officers, which is the exact line I drew earlier in this discussion when I was apparently advocating violence.

Even assuming that the federal government executed these guys, the problem here is that this situation wasn't contained. You keep on saying that it was a "brilliant" operation, Dylan, but the truth is that it was an enormous f**k. The cops didn't storm the refuge and kill everyone, which is good... but they also didn't see fit to seal it off. This disturbs me. I'm not sure why you, and the government, think gun-toting right-wing militiamen should be allowed to take over federal buildings and then drive into town for a Slushie. Especially since once of them apparently had a cop suicide pact, according to sophisticated urbanite and professional mindreader Dylan. They said they would use force to resist arrest.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they didn't arrest them the first time they drove off. Perhaps they wanted to wait until they knew they could arrest the leadership outside of the building, and this was their opportunity? I won't assume they were making such a smart tactical decision though. They could have just been stupid.

But so far I really can't argue with their results.

Also, no mindreading is necessary. The man stated on several occasions he would resist arrest and that he carried a firearm to further his promised resistance.
