Trump making this claim now is deft. If they do interfere in Dems favor he can be like "See!" and claim the dems are in on it. If nothing happens he can still use this line if the Dems win the House to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election.
It is mind blowing to me that this is acceptable. POTUS is literally casting doubt on the legitimacy of US elections in advance.
