Keep tilting at those windmills dontworry. No one is claiming that tax increases with no spending cuts will solve the problem, though many on the right want to do spending cuts only.

Democrats = Politicians that try to appeal to middle class/poor/disenfranchised voters by projecting the perception that government seeks to balance power of corporations and the individual
Republicans = Politicians that try to appeal to all voters by placing special emphasis on individual liberty/wrapping themselves in the flag/freedom/'merica
Both pass legislation that ultimately ends up supporting corporate consolidation and increasing inequity
