Well, we fundamentally disagree.

This is essentially a zero risk deal. Children aren't being denied this measure because of "risk", but rather because of ignorance and political bullshit.

Kids are people too, not property, and parents have no right to mistreat them like this.

If it were a matter of an elective procedure with a high probability of a bad outcome, it would be a different discussion. But this isn't. Its ignorant people listening to Pat Robertson tell them that an HPV vaccine will make their daughters slutty. Or listening to some ignorant celeb like Jim Carrey tell them that vaccination causes autism.

They should be listing to their doctors, but they aren't, and that is why they are unfit to make this decision for another human being with a potential future.

Its funny how many experts opining in this thread have no children and only their university re-educations to fall back on. Allowing a 12 year old to make their own medical decisions without their parent's consent? WTF with the childless and clueless around these parts.
