NON'S DEEP THOUGHT.
American history is full of all kinds of terrible stuff, but most of it has been the result of private or localized actors. Recently we've been seeing all sorts of terrible stuff....useless invasions, torture, indef detentions....from the central authority. Does this represent a change for the worse...are we, collectively, becoming the baddies?

well japanese anime is always weirdly accurate in its predictions of the future and we're always referred to as "the american empire" in a negative connotation.
