Those who've observed that the GOP isn't demonizing Romney this year have caught on to a whole new trend... I think. This isn't a matter of it not sinking in, or digestion... this is the beginning of a very nasty end-game for the tea party wing of the GOP and the influence it currently has. Social conservatives are not going to go quietly, and it's going to start with a total moratorium on criticism of the GOP's war on women and gays. It's going to get alot weirder before it gets better for Republicans.

I think another reason Romney isn't being criticized much by fellow Republicans is because many of them realize neither Ryan, or any of the major players from the GOP primary would have been a better choice than Romney.. Because IMO they are all, even Ryan, seen as more hard-line on social issues like abortion, and immigration, etc.. If anyone believes the GOP lost this election because of their hard-line stances on immigration, and abortion, and other social issues than quite honestly Romney was the best choice to come out of the GOP primary.

Speaking of the primary IMO that also did the GOP/Romney a lot of damage. Romney got lumped into that nuthouse of Perry, and Newt and Santorum.. And Romney couldn't shake being seen as one of them with some voters.. Of course Romney didn't do himself any good by staying to the far right, he never even tried to distance himself from the loonies of the GOP primary and their far right stances on social issues.

BTW in the past I've been a BIG critic of the younger generations sitting on their asses and bitching and moaning but not doing anything to change what they are bitching about..

Well I got to shut up about that now.. From everything I'm reading and hearing the younger people(under 30 years old) did get out and vote, and were one of the major demographics that made changes. % wise over 50% of younger people voted, which is a good %, not as high as 2008, but still a good % that got out and shut-up Mr.Bill about the younger generations being too apathetic.

I also think Ryan was a bad choice. He was viewed as a bit on the radical side. Christie would've been a better choice for Romney. If Romney weren't so bat-shit crazy this election cycle, he could've won. Michelle Bachmann bareeeeeelllyyyy eeked out her seat this term. The bat-shit crazy fad has run its course, just like boufont hair.

If Romney had a spine, and stood for what he's said, he would have had a real shot. But he twice completely reinvented himself in the same election. The flip flop is usually irritating enough....but Romney perfected the Flip-Flop-Flip...and it backfired on him.
