It is one thing to talk frankly and openly about the harm we've inflicted upon various countries.

It is another thing to try and equivocate our domestic policies with some of the most ruthless and brutal legal systems in the world.

In terms of what the average person wants, we are decades if not centuries ahead of their culture, at least when it comes to how we treat our own. How we treat others is straight out of Medieval times, I'll give you that.

As to the socialism, that too has been fading out over there. They are allowing private banks, the construction of a stock market, etc. They are sick and tired of economic failure, and are seeking to climb out of it.
