Look Ex, let's bring this back around to the topic at hand. The more we turn every issue into a gay issue (the olympics, St. Patrick's day, everything else) the more likely they are to lose support from people like me that don't care about their sexual preference but dislike the over politicization of the issue. I voted against prop 8 in 2008, but if the same issue came up today, I would probably just stay home honestly.
This is very typical of modern social movements in the US to me. Whether it is feminism or labor unions or whatever, people are treated unfairly, they push for better treatment and get it, but the movement itself is now defined by opposition and forcing acceptance rather than fair treatment and they go too far because it has turned into an industry. So you can't march in a private parade...so what? Stay home, start your own parade, do anything else. Parades are lame anyway. What was the last parade you went to? I think I was 5 and even then it was boring. They'll live. Not everything has to revolve around sex or your personal sexuality. I wouldn't go to the gay pride parade and demand a straight guy float, because I don't care and my personal identity is not tied to a parade float. Who I have sex with has no impact on your life and doesn't always have to be brought up in every situation. Even if I accept the sob story from your other posts, it doesn't make their sexuality relevant in this instance.
For among other evils which being unarmed brings you, it causes you to be despised
