Not at all. I've provided a number of reasons why I'd be opposed to them returning, and you've addressed none of them, instead talking about decisions other people have made that I don't even agree with.
All of this talk about declarations of war and our historical willingness to engage in violence is totally irrelevant. I am opposed to most instances of that violence, I believe mercenary work should be illegal, I do not support or even respect the social values of these fighters, and I do not believe that murder should go unpunished, whether that means locking up insurgents or Presidents.
So again, based upon this set of beliefs, why would I advocate that these men be allowed to return?
I would be willing to at least evaluate some of these men, and I do have sympathy for the younger ones. I would perhaps allow a few to return, based upon the value of the intelligence they can provide and their sincerity to deradicalize. But the vast majority should likely be denied entry or imprisoned, as they are nothing more than low-level thugs with zero redeeming qualities.
