i grew up poor because someone at my fathers work site laid down a row of pipe on a beam and put a sheet of metal on top of it. when my dad stepped on it it rolled and he fell about 10 feet, hit his back, and then another 10. broke his back and couldn't work and the company refused to accept his workers comp claim. the lawsuit for their illegal actions took years, all the while he couldn't make a living. those 10 years of poverty were the result of my parents being crap, right? and making bad decisions?
