1. You don't lose your job for subway delays in NYC. That's the point, in the rest of the country, transportation issues are one of the leading cases of poors getting fired.

2. Rent controls, crazy public housing, inability to evict tenants, etc etc

3. Yea I have been on NYC subway. Poors pay little to nothing from it and derive he greatest benefit. It's a subsidy, but I don't have a problem with it because it benefits everyone. Unlike housing or taxation policies which punish the young and working.

4. You are a big boy you can google yourself. NYC is always one of the best cities to get an education in the us, and it's always the only city of any real size on the list. Or you can just look at the 100+ award winning public schools in the city. Newyorkers and spoiled and elitist, they wouldn't even have words to describe how awful most public schools around the country are.

1. Lol you are very out of touch. Your car breaking down and you being late for work is considered your problem. Maybe you can get away with it once or twice with a nice boss but that won't fly. Meanwhile, a subway delay is verifiable and I know friends who are late on a weekly basis and its nbd because people recognize public transit delays are not your fault.

Rent control is a huge subsidy. I've lived in apartments where I pay 3x what people down the hall pay because they have rent controlled apartments and the landlord can't evict them. Guess who the shitty tenants are?

3. No silver spoon here. I worked a minimum wage job in Florida and its f**k laughable how good NYC workers have it. One dude was cool and I would give him rides home but up until I started he literally slept in the park if he had a late shift and then a morning shift next day because he couldn't get home. Every week someone was fired because of car trouble. Quite frankly you are the one who seems a bit out of touch about how the poor in most of the country live. No where but NYC do you have "poor" people living in better housing than people making 100k.

Can anybody name a state that hasn't had issues with oil which is heavily dependent on the commodity for income? Just one?

I'm sure there are some examples of outliers out there but they're just that, outliers. As a point of fact, I'd argue that these outliers likely don't rely on commodities to the extent that these nations do.
