it's all a rather meaningless conversation. conscription will only happen in the event of a catastrophic war taking place. in the event a catastrophic war taking place, we're already in war so the fact there is conscription doesn't prevent wars from taking place (your position). neither does women being drafted--of which most would not see combat by the way. they'd not meet whatever X physical requirements, which, while sex-neutral on paper would lead to far far more men than women getting combat roles. yeah some women will be fighter pilots. but fighter pilots aren't drafted, grunts are
