Putin is attempting to force NATO to remove a member - something that's not outlined anywhere in the treaty and something that has the potential to futher destabilize the alliance.

Nothing really but it's looking like this is the ploy.
First Erdogan went ahead with the S400 purchase, now he's pushing deeper into Syria, who knows what will happen next? Maybe Russia instigates direct military contact between syrian and turkish forces and Erdogan calls on NATO for support?
Then what? Members don't honor the treaty?

Do you think that Obama entering the war and Trump continuing the war and the entire elected representatives of the US supporting the war may lend some credibility to the idea that this war has something to do with you?
How has the ME pullout been going, anyways? Last time I checked you had sent an insane letter to a ME dictator threatening to destroy his economy unless he complied with your wishes. Would you characterize that as intervening, or?
