i fail to see how christianity is reliant on personal responsibility, but i suppose that's a topic for another thread.

You said that socialism was not in line with Christianity. I illustrated that it most certainly was and is. Jesus spoke like Karl Marx himself, he was not presenting ethically equivalent choices, and the apostles acted accordingly, as evidenced in the excerpts already provided.

It's over. The gov't has passed a bill to end the shutdown and raise the debt ceiling.
