It's unfortunate how gerrymandered the districts are. It would be tough, regardless. I'm hoping this will put enough shit on them that it will cause the flip.

Best case scenario is the Tea Party becomes a completely new party. Oh please do this. Then things will fix themselves, I believe.


I mean, our gov't will always suck but there's a baseline. We're well below it, now. I feel so bad for all those middle and lower class workers for the gov't who need every paycheck and instead will be scrambling just to make it through these few weeks if it indeed keeps going.

Here's what's really going on: the reason the GOP is fighting this tooth and nail is because they're afraid it will... succeed and be popular. This has nothing to do with jobs, the economy or "freedom," and everything to do with them, in true loser fashion, proposing nothing to solve a huge problem and the Dems finally did and got it passed.

If this thing works and people like it, they look like the a-holes that they are. They certainly pounced back in the 90s when Bill & Hill made this their big priority, so they have nothing but a record of obstruction for two decades now.

Once it gets up and running, all the horror and bogeyman stories they've been peddling for years now will either be proven true or detonated. And I'm pretty confident it will be the latter. Because otherwise there wouldn't be so much lying going on--if the program was deadly on its own merits, there'd be no need to embellish.

Then where will they be? Oh, yeah: you guys were AGAINST this idea.

That will stick with them for years.
