there are a non zero number of catholics that wish for latin mass
the thing is, internet allows for 3 people to seem like 3000, and so on and so forth. plus, people like to troll incessantly, i don't know if you guys have ever seen that happen but it does
point is, sure, some people are traditionalists. and sure, they can voice their opinion on the internet, but it seems to me that the reaction to their reaction is far far more of an overreaction. this is the same bullshit that came about with the mixed race family cherrio commercial. msnbc decides to declare all republicans don't like mixed race families. that person was canned after they did it, but i'm sure there was a lot of smugness going around with people thinking they are so much above the neaderthal conservatives that don't like that kind of stuff. the same smug people that then calls people who happen to actually have mixed race families uncle toms (e.g., clarence thomas) or mocks them for adopting black children (on msnbc: "one of these things is not like the other, hahahahaha", pointing and laughing at a picture of the Romney family). but whatever, get all upset that a few thousand other americans are upset that america the beautiful was sung incorrectly. and mind you,it was sung incorrectly, because the song was written in english. but it kjust seems to me that the response to that is so overblown and ridiculous (as in, people mention it) that it's just trying to make mountains out of toperas

My life has become a single, ongoing revelation that I haven’t been cynical enough.
