I think it's fair to say that all ethnicities and nationalities have been persecuted to one degree or another, at one time or another, here in America.
Which brings up an interesting thought experiment (and derails the thread, but then, it's my thread!): what ethnicity, on a per capita basis, has been persecuted the most in America, throughout its history?
The most obvious answer would probably be those of African decent. But, a very small percentage of those of African decent were ever brought to the US and made slaves, and there were. On the other hand, almost every Native American within these borders was persecuted (land taken, forced into slavery themselves, etc.).
