Irrelevant. My point is that government is in place to regulate and legislate for the good of the whole body. When they focus on one group - even if it's beneficial for that group - instead of the whole the system has been co-opted.

Eg, we are bankrupting ourselves to support the very old. This is fabulous for the very old and bad for society as a whole.

Also apparently about 80% of current domestic float is owned by 10% of the population so even dividends of publicly held stock aren't guaranteed to benefit society as a whole.
